Design Elements and Features

At the heart of the Avondale Transitional Kitchen is stunning cabinetry and countertops. The white shaker cabinets radiate a clean and classic vibe, providing a timeless versatile backdrop. The sleek white quartz countertops create a durable surface that’s perfect for gatherings or everyday meal prep. The warm, earthy tones of the travertine floors add a natural beauty that balances the kitchen’s cool color palette which adds to the inviting atmosphere.

Of course, the standout feature is the navy blue island. It doesn’t just serve as a striking focal point but it adds tons of functionality with ample storage and workspace. It’s a bold choice that adds personality and a touch of modernity to the overall design. The custom stone-patterned backsplash introduces a lovely texture, contrasting beautifully with the smooth and sleek surfaces throughout the space.

Lighting also plays a significant role in enhancing the kitchen’s charm. The modern orb chandelier above the dining table adds a splash of elegance while the multiple windows dressed in full-size white shutters flood the area with natural light, making it feel bright and airy.

The predominantly white color scheme is thoughtfully offset by a soft beige wall on one side and a calming sage green on the other, creating depth and visual interest.

For added functionality we were able to utilize the wall space in the dinning room to add a multi-functional bar.  The 9-foot long cabinet brings back memories of a traditional buffet bar. This modern style bar features a wine and beer fridge tucked away in the lower section of cabinets. This flexible area doubles as a bar or coffee station, while the countertop provides plenty of space for serving and prep work.

The modern bar marries style with functionality, perfectly tailored to meet the needs of a bustling family.

The end result is a clean, versatile transitional kitchen that will stand the test of time. The blend of traditional and modern elements creates a space that feels both current and classic.
